Actively involved in the area of Biodiversity and its conservation from the year 2000 onwards. Started research career at the Regional Agricultural Research Station of the Kerala Agricultural University, a collaborative center of the National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Lucknow, under the National Agricultural Technology Project (ICAR) as a Senior Research Fellow.
