Bio

Identification and characterization of gene networks involved in stem cell niche establishment in Arabidopsis shoot apex : Shoot apical meristem (SAM) of higher plants harbor pluripotent stem cells at their tip. Normal development of a plant depends upon the regulatory networks that control balance between stem cells specification and differentiation. Currently, research in our lab focuses on building a comprehensive transcription factor regulatory network for Arabidopsis SAM stem cell niche.
