The interaction of ultrashort and ultra-intense laser pulses with material targets leads to the generation of super-hot and sort-lived plasma, which ultimately results in the emission of high-energy electrons, ions, and X-rays. The fine-tuning of these emissions is of interest to both fundamental and applied sciences.
