My work over the past twenty years is concerned with understanding the pathophysiology of gynecological disorders such as endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome, though I have a long term goal to develop a non-invasive diagnostic marker for endometriosis. As part of this endeavor, we investigated into association of several SNPs in the genes involved in inflammation, angiogenesis, tumor suppression, epigenetic regulation and mitochondrial biogenesis.
