Bio
My primary research is aimed towards understanding tropical climate and its variability, with a particular focus on the Indian monsoon. Despite the fact that billions of people are dependent upon the vagaries of monsoon over the Indian region, there is no established theory that explains the observed variability in monsoon. I try to understand the variability in different timescales, intraseasonal to multidecadal, while combining theories, observational studies and numerical simulations.
