I am interested in the interdisciplinary research on the rare, endangered and threatened (RET) medicinal plants in the Himalayan region. Within this conceptual theme his research falls in following five overlapping areas: i) Systematics of RET medicinal plants, ii) Bioprospection, iii) Ecology and conservation biology of RET medicinal plants, iv) Ecological distribution of plant communities along various environmental and disturbance gradients, v) Extension of aromatic crops.
