My research is related to various aspects of fish biology with special reference to precise age and growth estimation, using different hard anatomical structures (otoliths, scales, vertebrae, etc), and feeding and reproductive biology of freshwater fishes. I am also working to identify the fish stocks using different methods such as, truss morphometry, otolith microchemistry and microsatellite DNA.
