Bio
Biodiversity conservation and promotion in food crops is my prime area of concern. Restoration of landraces and wild relatives of food crops with special focus on ‘Rice’ by identifying the potential qualities in adapting to challenges posed by climate change is my area of focus in more than 2 decades of research.From 2016-19, I have been actively involved in the women empowerment for sustainable livelihood for about 200 peri-urban women in dry tracts of Pudukottai district, Tamilnadu.
