Born and raised in Rajpura town of Punjab, Dr. R.S. Jhanji did his schooling from prestigious Punjab Public School, Nabha and graduated in 1984 from S.A. Jain College, Ambala affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. After achieving Master’s Degree in English from Punjabi University, Patiala in 1987, he researched on ‘Fiction Works of Arun Joshi’ and completed his M.Phil. Degree in 1988.
