Dr Sripathi has made significant contributions to understand the response of the equatorial and low latitude ionospheric electrodynamics that affect the radio communication and navigation systems due to coupling processes from lower atmospheric forcing such as tides, gravity waves and planetary waves and forcing from Sun like solar flux and solar wind using ground and space based observations He has investigated the role of space weather on the low latitude ionosphere which has impact on the var
