Involved in the management of pod borer, Helicoverpa armigera in Pigeonpea For this, both transgenic and non-transgenic approaches are being carried out The transgenic approach for the mitigation of this insect pest is by using different insecticidal proteins (ICPs) from Bacillus thuringiensis using the tissue culture-independent in planta transformation strategy
