Laboratory studying the differential expression of DNA repair proteins in human cancers. At present, he conducts studies on both cancer cell lines and human patient samples trying to figure out the genes that can be targeted for breast cancer diagnosis, prognosis and treatment. His lab is also studying the role of Autophagy (cells eating themselves) in human cancers and the role of nutrient deprivation and hypoxia in cancer progression and drug resistance.
