Bioactivity guided fractionation of Phyllanthus emblica fruit’s methanolic extract has led to the isolation of a bioactive biphenyl dicarboxylic acid. Memory deficits in male albino mice induced by scopolamine and sodium nitrite were recorded as transfer latency time (TLT) in EPM model; escape latency time (ELT) and time spent in target quadrant (TSTQ) in MWM model.
