My research work is focused on exploring the mechanism of vascular dysfunction and evaluating the Integrative approaches (mainly Yoga) that restores heart and vascular function. My ‘Laboratory for Advanced Research in Yoga and Vascular Physiology’ is currently investigating the effect of Yoga based cardiac rehabilitation on endothelial system, genes expression, arterial stiffness; and gut-heart-mind axis, to explore the efficacy and underlying mechanism of yoga on heart failure recovery.
