Dr. Joshi is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India. His research interests include micro, nano, and precision manufacturing processes with a focus on applications of lasers in manufacturing, thin-wall machining, single point diamond turning, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing automation. His research addresses both the basic as well as applied problems pertaining to these manufacturing processes.
