Marine Geology, Paleoclimate and paleoceanography: My research focuses on late Quaternary Indian monsoon variability and paleoceanography by using microfossils (Pteropods, planktonic and benthic foraminifera), and geochemical proxies (stable isotopes and trace metal chemistry of carbonate shells). Understanding the causes and mechanisms of past fluctuations in the ocean and atmosphere, and how such information can help us anticipate future changes by the analysis of climate model simulations
